Monday,
April 2, 2012 school experience for the even semester was hold until April, 12,
2012. For this moment, the 4th semester students became the assistant teacher. And
for this moment, I got SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta as the school partner. In the
first week of school experience, we observed some class in X grade. There are observe
about how students learn, how the teachers teach and how the learning process work.
In my observation, I got some unique experiences from this school. I think it
is a nice school with variance students included students who decline Javanese,
Sudanese, Ambone, Arabian and Chinese. And if I looked from the system, this
school is applying acceleration students. It is mean on the first semester,
students was begun to divide into group class. The acceleration class (SCI),
science class (IA) and social class (IS) where is each class consist of
different level of achievement. So, if I enter in acceleration class, I met
with the smart students. Then, when I enter to the social class, I met with
lazier students.
Monday,
April 9, 2012 is first day I was teach in X.IA.2. It is a nice class with
active students. This class consisted of 16 students, so I could handle this class
very well. In the begin of learning process, I tried to grab the student's
attention. In this session, Mr. D as a teacher of Mathematics asked me to teach
about Trigonometry. Then I begin to review some of the prior knowledge’ students about Pythagoras
Theorems. In the end of learning process, Mr. D asked me to give some exercise,
but in fact, I gave exercise too hard. Mr. D said when I gave exercise, I must give
the example at first. Then, I must try to give easily problems in step by step
increase to difficulties. Mr. D also said that I must explain in neat. So the
students can understand more easily.
Wednesday,
April 11, 2012, in peer teaching I collect my spirit to enter in the X.IA.2 classes
again. In this session, Mr. D asked us to make sure all the preparation (the
tool, mastering the content and approaching method). Until the class end, my
lesson plan’s work in well. All activity is work, and the students can solve
some difficult problem. I have some obstacle when to handle the students, but
my peer helped me. Finally, what I plan work in well.
