The Uniqueness of Mathematics in Haryo's Life

       Mathematics was the most unique thing in my life. Why? Because there were so many great experiences that was related to this subject. Started from when I wan in elementary school till in university.

       When I was in elementary school, especially in 3^rd grade, I had a very bad experience. When the final exam of that grade, I got score 1,67 of mathematics, and in my transcript has written 3,2 for mathematics score. Since that time I thought that mathematics was very difficult subject, and I wouldn't able got a good score.

       It was totally different when I was in junior high school. In the first daily exam, I got the highest score for mathematics. How come? I always got the worst score,but now I got the highest score. Well, I have learned some of the topics of 7^th grade of junior high school in my elementary school so I didn't meet some difficulties in the beginning. This was the first part of the uniqueness of mathematics kn my life. I always got the highest score of mathematics till I graduated from my junior high school.

       I had a different story in my senior high school. I had to finish my study in this grade only 2 years. Because I took an acceleration program. First semester, second semester, third semester were still okay. Fourth semester I was tired to study. Can you imagine I learnt one topic in one meeting? As we know that one topic in mathematics consists of some subtopics. My teacher always pushed me to study. Day by day, I started hate my teacher so much. Since that day, I hate mathematics, and almost never learnt it outside the class.

       In the last semester, I realized that what my teacher did was for my own good. When it was getting closer to the national examination, my motivation was getting increase, and increase. I learnt mathematics every single time, and taught my friends that met the difficulties. From that time, I love to share and teach.

       That was my great story. It just like the cosine curve. Haryo, the boy who hate mathematics, then love it, hate again, love again, and finally decided to be a mathematics teacher.
