Apri's 12th Posting - School Event

SPECIAL FOR "YOU" 2012

Special for “You” 2012 is an annual event in MIMI school. The purposes of this event are not only to celebrate Mother Day, but also to keep a strong linkage between the students, the teachers, and the parents. Moreover, this event is special for the 12^th grade students and their parents because this is one of the great moments to pray together with family and schools members for facing the National Examination and the Final Examinations. By considering the 12^th grade students as the participants, so this event will be organized by the students’ organization (OSIS) and some voluntary students from each of 10^th and 11^th grade students. So that, the day when the event is ongoing, the 10^th and the 11^th grade students are having day off for learning in class, but they should come to school to participate this annual event without their parents.

This year, the event will be held on Dec 20^th in MIMI school. There will be so many fun activities. The first activity is the bazaar of loves. In this bazaar, every student can sell his/her creation or handicraft, foods, beverages, and many more stuffs that are made with full of love, just by contacting the organizer and then the organizer will provide the stand to be used. The bazaar will be opened from 08.00am until 02.00pm in the school yard.

In the same time, there will be the second activities which are the games of loves. The games are not mandatory for all students, teachers, and parents, but for those who want to join the games, they can register themselves in some stands that have been provided by the organizer. The registration is opened from 08.00am until 09.00am, and the games will be begun from 09.00am until 12.00pm. The games are in pair and group, the games could be the pair of student-student, student-parent, student-teacher, parent-teacher, for example is “finding the pair” and “estafet of love”. Meanwhile, the games for the group can be consisted of student-parent-teacher, for example are “Bakiak Game” and “Tarik Tambang”. The winner of the games will be announced in the end of the event.

The next activity is exhibition in Auditorium. There will be a photo contest. The photos taken by all contestants will be displayed there, and the theme of the photo contest is “Parent’s Activities in Everywhere.” All contestants who consist of students and teachers may submit maximum two photos at most on Dec 18^th, and the winner will be announced in the end of the event. This exhibition will be available from 10.00am until 12.00pm. So, for those who don’t join the games can come earlier to this exhibition and will be taken a picture for the first-hundred family.

Another activity is sharing session. This activity is specialized for the 12^th grade students. All students with parents and homeroom teachers will have sharing session in their own classes. The time is about 01.00pm until 02.30pm. The classroom for sharing session has been decorated beforehand, according to the theme which is “love is our strength”, and then the decoration will be contested and the winner will be announced in the end of the event.

The last activity is called “Special for You”, and it consists of some activities, such as students’ performance through drama, singing, dancing, and many more. Also, there will be a pray together for all five different religions alternately. Moreover, there will be a “confession letter” session where the students write as many as confession letter to be addressed to their friends, their parents, or also their teachers. They have to give those letters by themselves. The last but not least is the closing of this event by announcing the winner of all games and contest.
