Then, when I was in Junior High School I felt difficulties because of my mathematics basic’s capability was not strong altought I always can follow the study. I just think that my teacher was only explain to us but she didn’t know us one by one, they only work as a teacher and only touch our brain not our heart. Honestly, I want my teacher care to me as a person so I will easily do what she want to us to reach. One thing that make me dislike my mathematics teacher because they always bring the big ruler, it made me affraid of course. How I can enjoy the material if they made me uncomfortable.
Next, when I was in Senior High School, I start to like mathematics because my teacher is very smart and fresh, so she could motivate me to learn mathematics. Also, in my Vocational High School the material was so applicative and easy. But in third stage, my mathematics teacher only came to the class then said “ ok, you can learn by yourself, if you don’t understand you can ask Enggar”. At that time, Enggar is my smartest friend in the class. Therefore, I know that it made me undertsand mathematics by myself, and I can.
Then, in SSE, I feel mathematics is so great. I really apreciate to Pa Budi. I was very shocked when the first time he brought suitcase and so many things. I realize that, if my teacher can touch my heart by give the best effort they can to make sure students understanding, I will try to do my best even they do not recognize it. In the future, I want to be like that, I want to prepare all of my properties and strategies and also make interesting moment in mathematics. I want to be a great mathematics teacher, I want to teach with all my heart.
Yeah I agree with you. motivation is very important when we teach our students. we have to make them confidence that math is not difficult.
