Quadratic function have a general form y=f(x)=ax2 + bx + c, a ≠ 0; a, b, c real constata. When we will to draw a graph of a quadratic function, we must find the y-intercept, the x-intercept, the vertex, and the axis of symmetry.
Steps to draw a graph of a quadratic function :
1. We find the y-intercept with setting x equal to zero.
2. Then we find the x-intercept with setting y equal to zero.
3. 3. When we want to find the vertex, we will to use the formula of vertex is (–b/2a, -D/4a), D= b2 - 4ac.
4. 4. When we want to find the axis of symmetry, we will to use the formula of the axis of symmetry is x = -b/ 2a.
