Dear
Parents,
It
has been a personal culture of Surya Elementary School to celebrate the
anniversary by several activities. This year, Surya Elementary School will hold
an event for teachers, parents, and students in theme of cultural fashion,
food, and games.
The
theme of this event is “School Parade”. It will be held on July 5, 2012 at 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be three parts of the event:
1. Fashion Parade
Teachers, parents, and students are encouraged to wear traditional
dresses and walk together around the school. The aim of this parade is to
introduce the school area to participants. Otherwise, the most matching dress
couple (parents and students) will get a prize from school.
This parade will be held on 9 to 11.30 a.m.
Note: you don’t need to borrow
the dress from boutique if you’re able to design existing materials creatively
2. Foods Bazaar
After the dress parade, participants are able to buy some traditional
food that is provided in the bazaar. The profit of the bazar will be used for
charity in Mentari Orphanage.
The bazar will be held on 1 to 4 p.m.
Note: we’d be very pleased if
you bring your own tumbler to reduce the use of plastic bag
3. Traditional Games Festival
Along the bazaar, you may also visit some booths that provide several
traditional games such as Congklak,
Bakiak, etc.
The booths will be opened on 1 to 4 p.m.
Note: we’re hoping that you
bring casual shirts to play games
Those are the events
that will be held to celebrate the school’s anniversary. We’d be very pleased
if you and your kids could come to the event. Let’s be the part of the school’s
culture!
