WELCOME LETTER (Second Writing Umi Salamah)

Welcome to Senior High School

Dear beloved students,

I want to say Congratulation for you all!

You have finished your study very well in Junior high school and now you are in Senior high school.

I am so excited to teach you and share our experiences each other. Surely, I know you have more spirit, because you are in a new school, new friends, and will find new great experiences.

Ok, I will introduce myself, my name is Umi Salamah and you can call me Miss Umi. I am mathematics teacher. Actually I have taught in 12^th grade last year, but in this year I have been believed by our headmaster to teach students of 10^th grade, including you.

I hope mathematics will be a nice lesson for you.  Because mathematics is colorful! We are not only do computation, but we will learn and play in mathematics. You have to believe yourself that you are great students and can do the best in this year. Your prior knowledge is important enough, because there are some topics that related or connected with our topic of mathematics. 

We can learn together, so if you find any difficulty in here you can ask me please. And then don’t be shy to give me feedback for better our learning process.

In this class, I want you to prepare two note books if you have. One book for exercises and another for note. I ask you do that, because it will be useful for you. If you forget your lesson, you can open your notes to remember you and then you could be back to learn.

For this class, I have some regulations. The regulation is same like another class. But if you have others idea for our class, don’t be shy to tell it. 

Our classroom agreements are we have to respect each other, such as pay attention with someone who giving explanation. Raise your hand when you want to give comment, asking, n giving answer, or something like that. For the lateness, I hope you could be on time, don’t be late. For someone who late, he/she will review what we have learned before. And then you have to asking permission if you want to go outside from the class.

In this lesson, you will often work in group. You can learn together with your friends. I want you to be cooperate each other, because it use for all of you.  And then for our assessments will be explain at class in the first meeting.

As your teacher I want to know more about yourself, because that I want you to write down your personal identity including your parent information.
